We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can provide supervised care, monitor children's activities, and provide a safe, nurturing environment for children enrolled in the School Age children.
This individual works with the children before and after school.
This position is a split shift position all to cover the mornings and afternoons.
We are flexible.
During our summer schedule, this individual has the option to work full-time in our all-day summer program, at the end of the school year.
General responsibilities are planning simple but engaging activities that will meet the needs of school-age children in grades K-5.
Serve children morning breakfast, walk children to and from school, help children start homework, providing afternoon snacks, and enjoy active engagement with our school-age children.
Support other teaching staff by performing various tasks throughout the classroom.
Supervision of children at all times, maintaining classroom routine, including cleaning, rotating materials, and classroom areas.
*General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
Ability to apply early childhood development theories in daily classroom activities and facilitate appropriate outcomes for individual children.
Able to meet the needs of children ages 5-12.
Ability to be flexible with work assignments and work schedules.
Must have the ability to work and maintain high standards of professional ethics with persons of different racial, ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds.
*Qualifications, Education, and Experience*
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Minimum of one (1) year experience with children.
Must pass all PA-required background checks.
