Summer Day Camp Counselor

Job Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors.
As a Camp Counselor, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for children attending our summer camp program.
This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young campers while gaining valuable experience in education and child development.
Day camps run daily from June 3rd-August 16th.
Duties: - Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being - Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities - Assist with behavior management, promoting positive interactions among campers - Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a structured and organized environment - Collaborate with other counselors and staff to create a cohesive camp experience - Serve as a role model for campers, demonstrating positive values and behaviors - Assist with meal times, ensuring campers are following proper nutrition guidelines - Administer basic first aid when necessary Skills: - Experience working with children, such as babysitting or tutoring - Strong classroom management skills, able to maintain order and structure in a group setting - Knowledge of behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively - Understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to apply them in a camp setting - First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment We offer competitive compensation for this position.
