Assistant Innkeeper / Event Staff

Consider working at one of Gettysburg's premier Bed & Breakfasts/Event Venues! *Assistant Innkeepers perform all aspects of working at a B&B:* * interacting with guests in person & on the phone, including taking reservations and checking people in/out * serve breakfast and assist the breakfast chef as needed * clean guest rooms, common areas, and event spaces * process laundry * stage/strike event spaces * welcome event guests and guide them throughout the property *Schedule:* There are daily AM shifts (7am-3pm) and PM shifts (1pm-9pm).
There are also special event shifts, which are usually on weekends, and tend to be 10am-6pm and 3-11pm.
We will consider either one full-time person or multiple people splitting the different types of shifts into two or three part-time positions.
*Weekend availability is VERY IMPORTANT.
* *Qualifications:* -Good oral and written communication skills -Charming personality and a sense of hospitality -Comfort with diverse travelers including children and dogs -Strong computer skills -Ability to troubleshoot electronics, such as wifi and satellite TV -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs -Familiarity with Gettysburg tourism and history -Math skills for adjusting invoices and reservations, making change, and converting recipes, including multiplying percentages and fractions -Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and also during periods of self-directed task management -Reliability -Flexibility -Punctuality Note: We will contact candidates that seem like a good fit for next steps.
