The *Human Resources Manager* (HRM) is a key member of PCSRI’s leadership team and guides the HR organization (_currently a team of one_) to achieve excellence that maximizes workforce quality and helps the organization achieve its objectives.
We’re looking for an HRM to leverage all their knowledge and leadership skills to evolve HR strategies as the work environment changes and we evolve to stay on the cutting edge of cancer research and treatment.
We are looking for a talented HRM to direct and oversee our organization’s HR plans in ways that support our mission and overall strategy.
This position has high accountability and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
We want candidates who can prove they are leaders, strategic thinkers, effective people managers, and problem-solvers.
You must be able to promote the role of strategic HR and ensure the long-term success of both HR and the organization.
The HRM is a trusted advisor to the COO and the other senior leaders and a thought leader for the organization’s talent management.
The HRM contributes to PCSRI’s overall direction and helps organizational leaders flourish.
Additionally, the HRM is expected to implement best-in-class strategies enabling PCSRI to attract, develop, and retain diverse, specialized, in-demand talent.
Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to: _Key Responsibilities:_ * Provide leadership for developing and executing HR strategies, policies, and practices aligned with and supporting PCSRI’s overall strategic direction, objectives, mission, and values.
* Lead a team of HR professionals to achieve excellence and provide quality service across PCSRI’s clinical and research facilities.
* Lead, manage, and facilitate Talent Acquisition, HR Services, Talent Development & Diversity, Compensation & HR Information Systems, and Benefits practices, processes, and workflows.
* Collaborate with leaders across PCSRI to maintain a positive, respectful work environment and foster a culture of authenticity, inclusion, and belonging, reflecting our great place-to-work mindset.
* Continually improve and effectively execute robust full life-cycle talent management, total rewards (compensation, recognition, and benefits), and well-being strategies and programs to attract, develop, retain, and nurture top talent.
* Identify and leverage tools for effective workforce development and management, including analytics, engagement surveys, and succession plans.
* Assist partners with organization redesign activities involving changes in structures and roles.
* Safeguard confidential information and sensitive data, systems, and records, and ensure the HR function complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
_Qualifications and Capabilities:_ * Demonstrated leadership skills and experience influencing others across a complex multi-site healthcare organization.
* Deep knowledge of HR management theories, concepts, techniques, and best practices, as well as federal and state employment law.
* Knowledgeable about DEI principles, experience operationalizing them in HR strategies, and a clear personal commitment to advancing DEI.
* Comfortable using quantitative analysis to make informed decisions while balancing analytic depth and urgency in response to tactical necessities—at ease with uncertainty.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and coach others and address challenging and often sensitive topics with people at all levels.
* Successful change and project management experience, including developing and executing organization-wide initiatives.
* Proficient and comfortable with HRIS applications, preferably Workday.
* Impeccable ethics and integrity can be counted on to preserve confidentiality.
* Excels in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment with respect for others and alternative perspectives; adept at operating with a multi-site workforce that operates in a hybrid fashion.
* Able to thrive in uncertainty and seize opportunities to identify supportive HR solutions.
* Adept at navigating multiple and potentially changing priorities in a complex environment.
_Experience_ * Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible work experience with healthcare(preferred) * Proven experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or another senior HR management role in a complex multi-site healthcare organization.
* Experience in strategic planning and implementation, cultural assessments and evolution, and change management.
* Deep working knowledge of the various HR functional areas.
* Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
_Location_ * PCSRI’s corporate office in Gettysburg, PA * This position is primarily on-site/office based.
* Occasional travel throughout Pennsylvania is required.
Education * Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, or a related field(Master's degree Preferred) Certifications * Current PHR or SHRM-CP certification * Current SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is highly desirable Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $100,000.
