Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Support Team Lead to join our team.
The ideal candidate will provided guidance to a team of System Administrators (SA)s in the delivery of technology services to internal and external users of applications and systems.
Provides oversight to the help desk in phone and desk side support services to on-site, remote and teleworkers.
Serves as subject matter expert (SME) on the DISA Chambersburg (CHA) Change Control Board (CCB) and project teams providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives to system issues.
Thinks independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills.
Assignments are often self-initiated.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Oversee and provide touch labor support for DoDNet, DISA networks, JWICS VTC, YLAN, and Project Labs.
Support EIIC LANs including managing switches and configurations.
Lead weekly meetings to discuss ITSM+ tickets, priorities, and IA compliance.
Attend DISA Chambersburg CCB to update management on network issues.
Address, open, update, and close ITSM+ tickets for DoDNet and hosted IS.
Train and brief users on applications, procedures, and security.
Maintain a tracker for DoDNet user/network systems and IP addresses.
Develop, update, and review network topologies and facility diagrams.
Attend meetings, conferences, and trainings on systems, networks, and technologies.
Maintain a DISA CHA IT Support Guide for SAs with technical information.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
BS degree in Computer Science or IT and 3-6 years of related system administration experience, including 1-2 years of team lead experience in leading IT teams.
Experience in overseeing security for the Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN).
Advanced knowledge in one of the following areas of IT (Microsoft Windows OS both current and previous versions, Microsoft Server OS both current and previous versions, VMware ESXi 5 or newer, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 or 7 and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP)).
Two years’ experience in vulnerability scanning and Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS), using tools such as: McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) server, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)/Nessus Scanner or related vulnerability scanner.
Experience applying STIG guidance.
Resume will be approved by the Government prior to hire.
Certifications
DoD IAT Level III certification may be required
Security Clearance
DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
