Areas of Influence You will be a member of the Legal Team of Volvo Construction Equipment North America, including Owned Dealerships and other affiliated Volvo CE business, to provide the following services (not intended to be all-inclusive): Support Legal team’s attorneys in their day-to-day activities Support business operations associated with various means for achieving business goals Draft, review, proof-read and edit certain transactional documents and agreements Manage legal documents and contracts, including, securing signatures, internal filing system and monitoring expiration dates and related timelines associated with legal documents and contracts Educate and support employees on legal processes associated with various means for achieving business goals Participate and manage activities related to investigation and defense against suits and prosecution of Volvo CE’s claims against third parties, striving to achieve the best balance of cost and results, including but not limited to, proof-reading pleadings, manage discovery process and litigation holds, create processes for efficient handling of litigation matters Communicate effectively Manage corporate documents, including, but not limited to, corporate filings for Volvo CE and each related entity of Volvo CE, maintain corporate records, and any other support related to Volvo CE’s and related parties’ corporate standing and status Provide legal support on matters related to legal compliance, regulations and US laws Familiarity of dealer distribution and dealer laws Support and manage vendor contracts and major events Provide support on ordinary and special activities of Volvo CE.
Manage relationships with outside legal counsel; and Support business acquisitions Manage certain administrative tasks You will be a valued member of the Volvo CE Global Legal & Compliance team.
Must Haves Paralegal certificate 7+ years of progressive experience in a law firm or company as a transaction or litigation paralegal Some travel may be required Location Greensboro NC or Shippensburg PA We will be excited if you have… Knowledge of construction or heavy equipment industry Knowledge of dealer distribution matters About us We value your data privacy and therefore do not accept applications via mail.
