PUBLIC DEFENDER INVESTIGATOR

Are you ready to make a difference? The Office of the Public Defender is seeking a talented and dedicated part-time as needed Investigator to join our team.
Key responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive investigations to develop and verify information Reviewing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and photographing crime scenes Obtaining public records and other relevant documentation Testifying in court as required Serving subpoenas and meeting with incarcerated individuals Requirement: 1.
Graduation from an accredited high school.

One year of experience investigating alleged criminal offenses for the purpose of developing and documenting factual information to be used in criminal trials or one year of experience interviewing individuals for the purpose of obtaining and documenting factual information or any combination of these types of experience equaling one year.
3.
Valid driver’s license and registered, insured vehicle.

Must have a strong interest in working with indigent defendants and their families, and in helping to ensure that all Public Defender clients are afforded the presumption of innocence and a vigorous defense.
