*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Compliance Manager to oversee all aspects of safety and health compliance within our Company.
The Safety Compliance Manager will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
This individual will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety, identifying and mitigating hazards, training employees and subcontractors, and fostering continuous improvement in safety performance.
*Key Responsibilities:*

Safety Program Development and Implementation:*
* Develop, implement, and update comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as industry standards.
* Conduct regular reviews and audits of safety programs to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
* Coordinate safety training and orientation programs for employees and subcontractors, including topics such as hazard recognition, fall protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency response procedures.

Regulatory Compliance:*
* Stay current on all relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the construction industry, and ensure that the company's operations remain in compliance at all times.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, conducting inspections, responding to inquiries, and addressing any citations or violations in a timely and effective manner.
* Prepare and submit required safety documentation, reports, and permits as needed to maintain regulatory compliance.

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment:*
* Lead a team to conduct regular job site inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential safety hazards and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
* Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to implement appropriate controls and safety measures to eliminate or minimize risks to workers and the public.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop recommendations for corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Safety Training and Education:*
* Coordinate and facilitate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety meetings to promote awareness and understanding of safety policies and procedures among employees and subcontractors.
* Provide guidance and support to project teams on safety-related issues, including proper use of equipment, safe work practices, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:*
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor safety performance and track progress towards safety goals and objectives.
* Prepare and distribute regular safety reports and dashboards to management, highlighting trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborate with project teams to analyze incident data, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance safety performance.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
* Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management or compliance, preferably in the construction industry.
* In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards relevant to construction operations.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
* Proficiency in safety management systems and software applications.
* Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
