The Chambersburg YMCA is seeking energetic, reliable Camp Counselors to provide a safe and memorable experience for the children of our community.
The ideal Camp Counselor will be flexible, patient, a good role model, and have a passion for working with and empowering children.
Some Camp Counselor responsibilities include:
Ensure the supervision, safety and security of the children at all times.
Plan for and facilitate activities for children.
Supervise and engage on field trips and during all activities to ensure the experience is safe and enjoyable.
Mediate any conflicts between campers, encouraging positive, healthy relationships and interactions.
Communicate with parents regarding activities and behaviors.
Some Camp Counselor skills include:
Experience working with children preferred.
Ability to relate well to individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds.
Ability to engage in physical activity (i.
e.
hiking, walking, and generally being mobile with the children).
Applicants must obtain required clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, State Police Clearance, FBI Background Check).
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $10.
80 - $12.
60 per hour

Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Experience with Children: 1 year (Preferred)
