$400 OBO.
2.
5L v6 KL-G4 from a 2002 Mazda 626 with a manual transmission.
2002 was the final production year for the 626 and this engine.
The 1998-2002 version of the KL used in the 626 was known as the KL-G4.
The G4 features solid lifters, a cast crankshaft to reduce rotating mass and a reworked intake system.
Mazda switched from a distributor to a Ford EDIS coil-pack ignition.
It was rated at 170 hp and 163 lb⋅ft of torque.
I was told by the salvage yard owner where I purchased it that the car had 126K miles and was running fine when the engine was removed.
I purchased the engine with the hope of using it in an engine swap that didn't work out.
Attached are some photos from when I got the engine home, and what it looks like right now on the engine stand.
All of the items I wasn't planning on using were removed, but retained.
